Our Attorneys – Nadine Hope Goodman

Nadine Hope Goodman was born in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from University of Miami School of Law in 1991 and began her career as an attorney working in the same law firm where Barry S. Franklin was a partner at the time. In the beginning of her legal career, Nadine handled all of the firm’s probate, trust, and guardianship cases, and subsequently gained a wide range of experience in civil and commercial litigation, as well as corporate and real estate law. Nadine later accepted a position at a downtown Miami law firm where she was a senior litigation associate and in charge of the firm’s real estate department. There, Nadine handled all of the foreclosure work in the South Florida region for a leading national bank; several multi-million dollar real estate and business transactions, including purchase and sale of vacant commercial land for the construction of a corporate park, purchase and sale of a major cruise line, purchase and sale of a well-known resort hotel in the Florida Keys; and many of the firm’s complex commercial litigation cases, including a high profile case where she successfully defended an engineering firm against the County Government in connection with a design project for the reconstruction and elevation of a major South Florida roadway. Upon moving to the Fort Myers area, Nadine accepted a position with a national legal research outsourcing firm to establish, operate, and manage their Florida office. Nadine quickly developed that office into a million dollar profit producing entity, and achieved the highest repeat business ratio in the thirty year nationwide history of that firm. Given the breadth of her litigation experience and her love for legal research and writing, Nadine eventually established her own practice, dedicated to appellate law and providing legal research, legal writing, and other litigation support services to solo practitioners and small-sized law firms throughout the State of Florida. In this capacity, Nadine has worked behind the scenes on hundreds of cases and dozens of appeals, with a heavy concentration on matrimonial and family law, probate and trust litigation, real estate litigation, and personal injury law. Nadine has worked closely with Barry S. Franklin & Associates, P.A. in the past and proudly became Of Counsel to the Firm in September 2016.
